And Black And White
Flat 3D animated series, created by Darko Bakliža
I had the pleasure of working on episodes IN AFRICA and IN THE DESERT.
As technical director my responsibility were rigging and skinning of characters and props, and to my great joy, character animation for the episode IN AFRICA.
SYNOPSIS
This is a black & white world. Literally! And it is not a world in which it is easy to live in. But, it is exciting! Glimpsing into history, visiting different geographical sites makes it all vivid. There will be knights, witches, eskimos, bedouines, vikings, ancient Greeks, and much older Egyptians… you name it!
EPISODE IN AFRICA
A white explorer happily roams the jungle, carefree he catches butterflies. This is fine, providing he doesn’t disturb the black natives. Well… this is just what happened here.
EPISODE IN THE DESERT
In the shade of his large tent, a sheik chases his wives. Unsuccessfully. What happens when they dissobey and decide to play a little trick on him?
All characters and scenography are exclusively in black and white. The idea is to stimulate the visual perception development in children and create room for specific design solutions and original humor. The whole series has a recognizable visual identity. The things we see, we don’t describe.
